Jenn + Jason nestled in Catawissa

Jenn and Jason married in the rolling hills of Catawissa

JENN + Jason nestled in Catawissa

Jenn + Jason nestled in Catawissa married each other on the rolling hills of their just over 3 acre land. Surrounded by friends family members, they said I Do to forever. Before we dive right in. Let’s get a little backstory to this love story shall me?

These two lovebirds met on the Bumble dating app. Jenn was about to give up on finding love when she came across Jason’s profile. They talked for a couple of months via text and phone calls before going on their first date at the Brickyard in Williamsport on December 9, 2018. They ate dinner and talked for 5 hours! Neither of them wanted the night to end. They went on their second date 6 days later and knew they wanted to be together. They were together for almost 2 ½ years before getting engaged.

Their story gets even sweeter right here…
Jason told Jenn that he wanted to take her out for a nice dinner since they hadn’t been out in a long time. He made reservations at the Inn at Turkey Hill for September 13, 2020. They had a wonderful dinner. Jason suggested that they go for a walk at the Bloomsburg Park since it had stopped raining and was a beautiful evening. They walked around the pond and then stopped at a bench.

Moreover, Jason mentioned that he had to stop and tie his shoe. Jenn had her back to him so she was unaware of what he was doing. Jenn felt him grab her hand and spun her around to propose. She was completely surprised! It was all well thought out and planned and so special. The Inn at Turkey Hill is where they celebrated our first Valentine’s Day together. Jason thought to propose by a bench in case Jen had a cataplexy attack and September 13 is her Pop’s birthday. He passed away in 2001.

Lastly, when asked why they chose their location for their ceremony, Jenn responded with this.
It’s our first home together and we love where we live. We wanted to make a few things for the wedding so Jason built and stained the arch for the ceremony and I repurposed old windows, put together the table decorations and decorated the flower girl baskets. We will also have a knot-tying ceremony during the ceremony because the meaning behind it is very special to us.
