Getting to know your clients is a must, but getting to know what brings them joy and scouting locations to bring to life their most important moments is key to a lasting friendship. On this gorgeous fall day, we took the most breathtaking engagement photos at the MASONIC VILLAGE
Matt and Morgan have been together for about 3.5 years. Morgan and Matt met sophomore year in high school. Morgan was a new kid in the school, and she shared a couple of classes with Matt. Both of them were dating other people at the time, but remained friends throughout. Matt and Morgan were both involved in sports in high school and went on to play at the collegiate level for football and basketball. It wasn’t until years later, Matt and Morgan took a more romantic view on their relationship in their college years.
However, distance was a concern and they were both involved in their sports so they decided it was best to be friends at that point. Although, Morgan asked Matt if he would consider dating again after school to which he said– yes. Fast forward to New Year’s 2020, with some liquid courage, Morgan FaceTimed Matt and they rekindled an old flame. Matt took Morgan out for her birthday in February, and they started dating in March.
Morgan and Matt share many of the same core values about what they believe makes a good person– honesty, work ethic, compassion, authenticity, and empathy. They also believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt because no one is perfect in this life. The couple believes that they both challenge each other to be better. BUT, the one thing that they both love each other the most for would be their shared sense of humor.
Both of them enjoy making people laugh. Clever and witty puns usually land well in their household. Including a whole list of alter egos including Chef Goose, Slick Rick Jones, Spanky Rams, Beef Tioga, and Wanda Thurbert. For example, Matt and Morgan enjoy being creative & making meals together and when they are done preparing the meal, Matt will say, “Goose you done it again!”.
It was Christmas morning. Matt and Morgan woke up and started to get ready to travel to Morgan’s family for the holidays. They started their morning by giving their dog, Ruger, his Christmas gifts. Matt made Morgan some breakfast and started playing some Christmas music. They also exchanged gifts with each other. When Morgan was finished getting ready, Matt asked Morgan to come out and look at the Christmas tree because she had one more gift to open.
GULP.
Morgan walked out and saw a little felt bell ornament. Matt put on Mariah Carey’s “All I want for Christmas Is You”, Morgan grabbed the ornament and opened it up and saw THE RING. She turned around and Matt was down on one knee, he took the ring and asked Morgan to marry him. He said, “All I want for Christmas is you Morgan”. She said Yes!! The couple was then able to share the happy news with all of their family that day and the next!
