Epilepsy has nothing on this girl!!!
hen I got the message from Jordyn’s mom about capturing these moment, I was honored to say the least. I was aware of Jordyn’s journey at the start a couple of years ago. What started out as a few headaches grew into something much bigger. I will let Jordyn share her journey with you…
“2 years ago I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. It was hard at first because my life got turned upside down. I went from hospital to hospital for testing and met with  different doctors. I used to be scared to go to sleep because I never knew if I would have a seizure and not wake up. Yes, I have my seizures in my sleep! When I got sick I found out who my real friends were. A couple people stayed by my side and others left, but I was okay with it. Last year, I had 3 brain surgeries and an implant put into my chest with a wire that goes through my neck and back to my brain stem. People have supported me through everything, especially my family. I made the Worlds Team for Cheerleading this year and I would have never done it without my family and coach supporting me through everything. I’m truly thankful for the life I live. All this has made me stronger and a more understanding person! I’m going to end with a “Thank You” to everyone that has been here for me and has helped me stay strong through it all!!” -Jordyn
May 27th, we met at Pine Square for Jordyn’s session. When I say that Jordyn is the definition of resilient. I totally mean it. She was down for every pose I put her in. She even brought cheerleading uniform and some props. Y’all know that cheerleading is my jam and I could photograph/watch cheer all day long. Anyways. Needless to say, I loved this session and it truly shows just how strong this princess is. Good luck to you Jordyn as you go through another surgery this year. Be blessed sweet girl!Â
